The corporate and commercial law unit is saddled with the responsibility of carrying out pre-incorporation and post-incorporation activities with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), it handles registration of mortgages and charges, searches, winding up, mergers and acquisitions, drafting of agreements, reviewing/proof reading complex legal documents, providing legal opinion and handling a wide range of mainstream corporate and commercial transactions for several financial institutions, medium sized businesses and private clients.

It also advises companies and organizations on good corporate governance principles.

The unit’s core areas of activity encompass mergers and acquisitions, private equities, privatizations, collective investment schemes, public issues, joint ventures, partnerships, and employment related matters.
